PromonLogicalis and Telefonica to implement new communication platform for branches of the biggest bank private in Brazil

, Set 15, 2016

Scenario

Corporate account-dedicated branches had obsolete telephony platform. Based on legacy architecture and at the end of life support, it would not allow the bank to expand the business nor add new services. This scenario was generating unnecessary communication costs among sites and customer services, while also risking service disruption and long unavailability periods.

Telefonica was the chosen company to update the platform, which, in turn, chose PromonLogicalis to supply and implement the IP telephony solution.

Solution

More than 260 branches responsible for corporate accounts will now count on Cisco’s IP telephony solution, which improves operational efficiency while reducing some operational costs – such as energy, cables and equipment support. Furthermore, call routing optimization will be made possible, offering the option to choose the most appropriate site with the best cost for call drainage.

The solution also allows for communication silos reduction and optimized bandwidth use in voice communication for it suppresses unnecessary legacy platform bandwidth use.

Benefits

On top of technological evolution, the solution mitigates risks and adds new mobility resources amongst branches, reducing communication costs and expanding services and mobility availability.
