, Jan 17, 2014

Once again, PromonLogicalis, provider of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) services and solutions for Latin America, attends the III Brazilian Internet Infrastructure Week – with the lecture IPv6 and the Internet of Things, on December 5th. The event is exclusively dedicated to connectivity providers aiming to discuss Brazilian Internet’s infrastructure problems and possible solutions. Promoted by Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), the event takes place from December 2nd to 6th at Blue Tree Premium Morumbi, in Sao Paulo.

According to PromonLogicalis’ technology manager, Lucas Pinz, IPv6 adoption is essential to make the new Internet of Things technological wave viable. “It is expected that by 2020, 50 billion devices to be connected to the Internet. Machine to machine communication will become more common, generating an expressive data volume and IP connections, and only IPv6 is capable to generate the necessary number of addresses to connect billions of devices to the Internet in the coming years”, said the executive.
